Terms + conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before attending classes or accessing services at Sweat Equity. By booking or attending a session, you agree to these terms.


1. General Information


1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Sweat Equity, located at Charlemont Rise, Geelong.
1.2 By booking or attending any class, workshop, or event, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.3 Sweat Equity reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and/or communicated via email.


2. Bookings & Payments


2.1 All sessions must be booked in advance via the Sweat Equity website, app, or the Momence App.
2.2 Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.
2.3 We accept credit/debit cards and EFT. Please note: we are a cashless studio.


3. Cancellations, Refunds & No-Shows


This policy applies to all memberships and intro offers. It is designed to support consistency and fairness.


3.1 We operate an 8-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made within this window incur a fee (see below).
3.2 Your first two late cancels each calendar month are waived.
3.3 All cancellations must be processed via the Sweat Equity or Momence App — we do not accept cancellations via phone or email.
3.4 Missed classes are considered no-shows and are non-refundable.
3.5 If Sweat Equity cancels a class, you will be offered a refund, credit, or alternative.


Late Cancel and No-Show Fees:


  • $10 for late cancel (mat & reformer)

  • $15 for no-show (mat & reformer)


4. Pregnancy & Postpartum Policy


We’re committed to your safety at every stage.

4.1 Reformer Pilates

  • Safe for experienced clients up to 20 weeks gestation, pending medical clearance.

  • After 20 weeks, private or prenatal-specific sessions are recommended.

  • Always notify your instructor of your pregnancy and gestational age.


4.2 Hot Mat Pilates


  • Not suitable during any stage of pregnancy due to elevated room temperature and related risks.


4.3 Postpartum


  • We recommend medical clearance (typically 6–12 weeks postpartum) before returning.

  • Inform instructors of any recovery considerations such as C-section or abdominal separation.


5. Health & Safety


5.1 You confirm you are physically fit to participate by attending classes.
5.2 Inform your instructor of any injuries, conditions, or limitations before class.
5.3 Sweat Equity may refuse participation if it's deemed unsafe.
5.4 Always listen to your body and follow modifications provided.
5.5 Minimum age for participation is 16 years.


6. Liability Waiver


6.1 All exercise carries inherent risk.
6.2 By participating, you accept full responsibility for your health and any potential injuries.
6.3 Sweat Equity is not liable for injuries, loss, or damages sustained during classes.
6.4 We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.


7. Studio Etiquette


7.1 Arrive at least 5 minutes early; late arrivals may not be admitted. Doors open 15 minutes prior.
7.2 Phones must be silenced. No phone use in class.
7.3 Respect instructors and fellow clients — this is a judgment-free space.
7.4 Bring a towel and water bottle to all Hot Mat classes (no towel, no entry). Hire towels are available.


8. Memberships & Suspensions


8.1 Memberships and class packs are non-refundable and non-transferable.
8.2 Expiry periods apply and are stated at purchase.
8.3 Suspension and cancellation terms are outlined in your membership agreement.
8.4 Members are responsible for cancelling any pre-booked classes during suspension. Please contact us via email or in person to suspend your membership.


9. Filming & Photography


9.1 Occasionally, classes may be filmed or photographed for promotional purposes.
9.2 You will be notified in advance and can opt out at any time.
9.3 By participating, you agree to be filmed unless stated otherwise.
9.4 All media is used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


10. Privacy


10.1 We collect only the personal information necessary for service and communication.
10.2 Your data is protected under our [Privacy Policy] and will never be shared without consent.


11. Governing Law


These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
