OUR APPROACH

At Sweat Equity, we’re committed to delivering a considered, high-quality studio experience grounded in strength, consistency, and community.

By attending classes, purchasing services, or entering the studio, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our offering or operations. The most current version will always apply.

 

STUDIO STANDARDS

At Sweat Equity, the standard of our studio experience is intentional. To ensure every class feels strong, focused, and supportive, we ask all members to uphold the following studio standards.

Sweat Equity Pilates reserves the right to suspend or cancel access to the studio where required to protect the experience, safety, or integrity of our space. This may include (but is not limited to):

  • Breach of these terms or studio policies

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour

  • Non-payment or failed payments

  • Misuse of memberships or bookings

We may also update class schedules, instructors, opening hours, or equipment at any time as required.

Personal belongings are brought into the studio at your own risk. We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.

 

COMMUNITY & CONDUCT

Our studio is built on respect, energy, and shared experience.

By attending, you agree to:

  • Treat all members and staff with respect and consideration

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment

  • Follow all instructor guidance for safety and class flow (unless discussed otherwise)

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or behaviour that impacts the experience of others.

 

IN-STUDIO EXPERIENCE

To maintain the standard of our classes:

  • Please arrive on time. Late entry may not be permitted once class has commenced

  • Please ensure phones are to be silenced and stored away during class

  • Equipment must be used and returned with care

  • Follow all instructor cues unless discussed prior

 

HEALTH & RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for ensuring you are fit to participate in classes.

By attending, you acknowledge:

  • You are physically able to participate

  • You have disclosed any relevant injuries, conditions, or pregnancy

  • You will modify or stop if something does not feel right

All participation is at your own risk.

Sweat Equity reserves the right to modify or decline participation where safety may be compromised.

Minimum age for attendance is 16.

 

HYGIENE & PRESENTATION

We maintain a clean, elevated studio environment.

  • Wear appropriate, clean training attire

  • Maintain personal hygiene and use antiperspirant deodorant

  • Bring a towel -required for hot mat classes

  • Grip socks are recommended for reformer classes

 

 

BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

  • All classes must be booked in advance via our website or app

  • Payment is required at the time of booking

  • We operate as a cashless studio

Purchases are non-refundable, including for change of mind, temporary illness, or injury. Where appropriate, memberships may be paused or adjusted at our discretion.

Memberships and passes are non-transferable and will only be considered for a unique situation.

 

MEMBERSHIPS

Membership terms, including minimum commitments and cancellation periods, are outlined at the point of purchase.

Pauses are available within the following limits:

  • Up to 6 weeks per year (12-month agreements)

  • 3 weeks for Short Term memberships (minimum of 3-month sign up)

It is the member’s responsibility to manage bookings during any pause period.

 

CANCELLATIONS & ATTENDANCE

We operate a structured cancellation policy to ensure fair access to classes.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 6 hours prior to class, otherwise considered a ‘late cancellation’. Late cancellations incur a $5 fee

  • By not attending a class you have booked you are considered a ‘no show’. This incurs a $10 fee.

We understand life happens and so each member receives two waived fees per 30-day cycle for each ‘late cancel’ and ‘no show’.

Cancellations must be made via the booking platform. We are unable to process cancellations via email or phone.

If Sweat Equity cancels a class, we will provide as much notice as possible and issue a credit or an alternative will be provided.

 

WAITLIST

Where a class is fully booked, members may join the waitlist for that class via our booking platform.

By joining a waitlist, you acknowledge and agree that:

·       You may be added into class at any time, including up to 1 hour prior to class commencement

·        If a space becomes available and you are allocated into the class, you will be automatically notified via our booking system (email, SMS, and/or app notification depending on settings)

·       Once added into a class from the waitlist, it is considered a confirmed booking and our standard cancellation and no-show policies apply

·        It is your responsibility to ensure you are available to attend if you remain on a waitlist

·       If you no longer wish to attend a class, you must remove yourself from the waitlist prior to being added into the class.

·       It is your responsibility lies to monitor booking status

 

Sweat Equity reserves the right to manage waitlist allocation at its discretion to ensure fairness, efficiency, and optimal class capacity.

 

PREGNANCY & POSTNATAL PRACTICE

We welcome members throughout pregnancy and postnatal recovery, with appropriate care and awareness.

Before attending, you should:

  • Obtain clearance from a qualified healthcare provider

  • Have prior reformer experience

During classes:

  • You are responsible for modifying movements as needed

  • You must inform your instructor prior to each session

  • High-intensity or heat-based classes are not suitable during pregnancy

Postnatal return:

  • Minimum 6 weeks post-partum

  • Medical clearance required

All participation during this time is at your own risk.

 

RISK & LIABILITY

Participation in any class or use of the studio is undertaken at your own risk.

You acknowledge that all physical activity involves inherent and sometimes unpredictable risks, including injury, illness, or physical harm, and you voluntarily assume full responsibility for any outcomes arising from your participation.

By attending Sweat Equity Pilates, you accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during your participation.

To the extent permitted by law, Sweat Equity Pilates and its instructors, employees, and representatives are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained in the studio or in connection with its services.

 

PRIVACY

We collect only the information required to manage your bookings and communicate with you.

Your information is handled securely and is never shared with third parties.

 

 

STUDIO LOCATION & HOURS

Sweat Equity is located at:
Charlemont Rise Shopping Precinct, Precinct Road, Charlemont, VIC

Access is via the glass doors on Precinct Road — we are located upstairs.

Studio Hours:

Monday – Friday: 5:45 AM – 10:30 AM & 5 PM – 7:15 PM
Saturday: 7:45 AM – 11:00 AM
Sunday: 7:45pm – 10AM and 3:45pm – 7PM

Studio hours and class availability may be subject to change without notice.

 

SERVICE AVAILABILITY & STUDIO OPERATIONS

Sweat Equity may, where required:
• Update class timetables, instructors, equipment, or formats
• Temporarily close the studio for maintenance, public holidays, safety requirements, or unforeseen circumstances or uncontrollable events. These include power outage, internet or utility outages, natural disasters, government restrictions, or public health emergencies.
• Modify or cancel classes due to operational needs, including low attendance or instructor availability

Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of changes. In such cases, members will be offered a credit or alternative where applicable.

 

ENFORCEMENT & STUDIO DISCRETION

Sweat Equity reserves the right to:
• Refuse entry or participation where policies are not followed
• Suspend or terminate memberships or access for repeated or serious breaches of these Terms
• Take action where behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the values of the studio

All decisions are made in the interest of maintaining a safe, respectful, and high-quality studio environment.

 

FINAL NOTE

These Terms exist to support the integrity of the Sweat Equity experience - one that is consistent, considered, and community-driven.

By booking or attending classes, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
